***An ideal modification to this trap for muskrats is to replace the powerful stock springs with Bridger 4 coil springs - MF-2, the spring used to four coil #3 traps. Protruding spring tips should be trimmed.... A standard modification all Senneker's 1.5 coils for rat use. Trap in such manner has plenty of power for any muskrat and is easy to operate for weak, damaged or young hands.
