Caribou 1-A Short Pelting Knife - Specially designed tools for a special purpose, the trapping industry. These knives are made to withstand and last there intended uses. Skinners, pelters and scrapers, fine tools of the trade. All are made from fine surgical stainless steel, and finished with an HRC of 57-58.
This is a shorter version of the triangle shaped pelting knife. The handle is the same as the 1-S pelting knife, just a slightly shorter blade.
The blade is 2 1/4" long by 1 1/4" at it's widest part.
Cutting edge is 2 1/4" long.
This knife is designed for making perfect opening cuts on both your long hair articles as well as the short hair items.
